Promoting talent and giftedness

A child is not a vessel that needs to be filled, but a fire that needs to be lit.

At Buchrain School, this fire of individual interests and talents is kindled throughout the school week with three formats of gifted and talented promotion (BBF). Children and young people at all school levels strengthen cognitive abilities, creativity, motivation and social and emotional skills.

- PullOut promotes the nine intelligences according to Howard Gardner in particularly gifted children. It offers the opportunity to work on selected topics in depth and on a project basis with similarly gifted children from other classes and levels.
- Blocks of workshops invite students to work on projects in which they delve deeper into a specific talent.
- In the open tinkering workshop, which is also offered for whole classes, the spirit of research, curiosity and the joy of practical experimentation are awakened together.

In kindergarten, gifted and talented children are encouraged on an integrated basis in one morning.
