Gifted education & talent development (BFF)

A child is not a vessel to be filled, but a fire to be kindled. At Buchrain School, this fire of individual interests and talents is nurtured throughout the week with three formats of Gifted and Talented Education (BBF). Children and young people at all grade levels strengthen their cognitive abilities, creativity, motivation, as well as their social and emotional skills.

• PullOut Program: Supports Howard Gardner’s nine intelligences in particularly gifted children. It offers opportunities to work in depth and project-based on selected topics together with peers of similar ability from other classes and grade levels.

• Ateliers in blocks: Invite students to engage in projects where they can explore and deepen a specific talent.
  ‍
• Open “Tüftelwerk” (makerspace): Also available for entire classes, it fosters curiosity, a spirit of discovery, and joy in hands-on experimentation.

In kindergarten, Gifted and Talented Education takes place in an integrated format on one morning per week. All three formats are offered at the Hinterleisibach school building.
