Student Voice

Children and young people are the most important stakeholders of a school. That is why student participation has a permanent place at Buchrain School. From kindergarten through grade 6, students engage in the Student Parliament (SchüPa), and at the lower secondary level they participate in the Student Council. They are supported in this by teachers and the school’s social work team.
Both bodies follow the principles of Design Thinking: concerns raised in the classes are collected, discussed together, and transformed into creative solutions. In this way, students take on responsibility and actively shape their learning and living environment. This lived participation strengthens democratic awareness, self-confidence, a sense of community, and identification with the school.
